Peterborough, ON – Michelle Ferreri, Member of Parliament for Peterborough—Kawartha, issued the following statement regarding the upcoming King’s Coronation Medal Ceremony on March 22nd, 2025:

“On March 22nd, we’ll gather to celebrate 20 exceptional individuals who’ve made a lasting impact on Peterborough City and County. These people are the heart of our communities, pouring their time, energy, and passion into making life better for those around them. Their dedication embodies the true spirit of service, leadership, and resilience, and it’s a privilege to recognize them with the King’s Coronation Medal.

“The King’s Coronation Medal is a rare and prestigious honour, created to recognize individuals who’ve demonstrated outstanding service to their communities and to Canada. This medal, established to mark the historic occasion of King Charles III’s Coronation, will see 30,000 medals awarded during the anniversary year. It’s a recognition of those who’ve gone above and beyond to make a lasting difference, whether supporting youth, advocating for families, serving in the military, standing up for our most vulnerable, or enriching our community through the arts.

“These 20 exceptional individuals we celebrate on March 22nd are a powerful testament to the values that define Peterborough City and County. Their dedication shows us that one person can spark real change and make a profound difference in the lives of many. It’s an honour to recognize their tireless efforts and the lasting impact they’ve had in making our community and country stronger, better, and more united.
